Fleet Safety Consultation
The Transport Accident Commission reminds employers that they have a legal and moral responsibility to look after the safety of their staff. Part of this duty of care is ensuring employees are safe on the roads if their job requires any driving. This includes equipping employees with the necessary skills and training in driving a vehicle. Insurance companies proactively monitor what initiatives a company is taking to encourage a reduction in incidents involving the fleet they insure. Driver training for employees can be carried out in a variety of different ways, including via on-site or Zoom theory sessions, or practical driver training originating from the workplace or a suitable training area.
Driving Fleet Safety can assist in the following areas:
- Monitor claims and incidents
- Provide direction regarding strategies that could be implemented
- Consult with stakeholders including fleet and insurance companies
- Develop employee driver training packages to suit the needs of the business
